Art From Indian Territory 2007: the state of being American Indian
In 2007, Oklahoma commemorated its 100th anniversary of statehood and The American Indian Cultural Center and Museum originated a touring exhibition exploring the diversity of Oklahoma American Indian cultures and art in the context of the historic time. The exhibit celebrated the historical traditions of Indian art in Oklahoma, while sharing the way in which Oklahoma’s native identity progressively reveals itself through contemporary expression.
